DEVONthink To Go 2.2 adds Spotlight support

Coeur d'Alene, Idaho - DEVONtechnologies updates its mobile document and information manager DEVONthink To Go with Spotlight support and improved handling of background activity. Users can paste tags into the Info sheet and store information about apps from the App Store app as formatted notes. The free update also reduces the memory footprint, improves the reliability, and fixes bugs.

* Take your documents with you
* Organize your data on the go

* Sync locally, via WebDAV, or Dropbox

What's new in DEVONthink To Go 2.2:
Version 2.2 adds Spotlight support and so tightens integration with system services and third-party apps. Users can now find their documents from anywhere on iOS, open them in other apps, and use them in automated workflows.

The update also improves the handling and reliability of background tasks. Maintenance jobs like indexing or purging run concurrently and no longer slow down the user interface. In addition, all background activity including synchronizing receives a new, unified status display. It keeps the users informed about what's going on in a way that doesn't interfere with their work.

iOS is optimized for usability. And so are our apps. Document provider extension, automation support, Clip to DEVONthink, and now Spotlight make it possible to save, find, and use documents in any way possible on iOS. Of course we will continue to improve the integration of DEVONthink To Go and pick up new possibilities provided by Apple," comments Eric Bohnisch-Volkmann, President of DEVONtechnologies.

Other improvements in version 2.2 include the ability to let users paste tags into the Info sheet and store information about apps from the App Store app in DEVONthink To Go. Finally, the update refines the memory management, improves the overall reliability, and fixes bugs. It's free for existing users and highly recommended.
